 Dr. Emery 'K' Toth graduated from University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1975. Prior to studying at Dental School, he attended Wayne State University, Providence College and Harvard. Dr. Toth has been practicing for over 40 years. He has been in his newest second location for over 20 years. Prior to starting in private practice, Dr. Toth was a clinical instructor, teaching dental students at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. Dr. Toth keeps ahead of the curve by taking highly developed educational courses, and is qualified in advanced implant and bone augmentation procedures, cosmetic dentistry, gum rejuvination (where too much roots are exposed) , orthodontics: with and without brackets, also using lasers for cosmetic as well as disease treatment, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. Dr Toth has passed on his accumulated knowledge of dentistry through several associates in his practice. Along with his credentials he is also a charter member of the American Academy of Laser Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, International Association for Orthodontics, Detroit Dental Clinic Club, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and the Detroit District Dental Society. 

Dr. Andrea Balla boasts over three decades of experience in the field of dentistry. Her journey began in 1987 when she earned her DMD degree in Europe, marking the inception of her lifelong dedication to oral health. After relocating to Michigan, Dr. Balla pursued further education and attained her second DDS degree from the University of Detroit Dental School. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to providing compassionate care and ensuring her patients feel at ease.

Passionate about dentistry and patient well-being, Dr. Balla takes joy in helping individuals maintain optimal oral health. She believes in fostering a welcoming environment where every patient receives personalized attention and comprehensive dental care. Dr. Balla is known for her proactive approach to dental practices, staying abreast of the latest advancements and modern techniques to deliver the highest standard of treatment.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Balla values ongoing learning and professional growth. She actively participates in continuing education programs to stay updated with evolving dental practices and technologies. Dr. Balla's dedication to excellence and genuine care for her patients make her a trusted practitioner in the dental community.

Barbara possesses over 45 years of invaluable experience in the dental field, beginning her journey as a dental assistant at Southwest Dental Group. Through dedication and perseverance, she has steadily progressed to the position of office manager of our Detroit location, a role she has cherished for the past 30 years. Barbara is dedicated to ensuring that patients' needs are met and is an integral part of their dental care journey. As the first point of contact for each patient, she adeptly assists them in navigating insurance questions and finding optimal solutions. Her commitment extends beyond administrative duties; Barbara takes pride in fostering a supportive environment where patients feel valued and well-cared for throughout their dental experiences.

Samantha currently serves as the Office Manager at our Dearborn location. Her journey with Southwest Dental Group began nine years ago as a dental assistant, where she demonstrated dedication and skill that propelled her to her current managerial role. Samantha finds great fulfillment in collaborating with Dr. Toth and takes pride in providing exceptional patient care. She excels in addressing patient inquiries and enjoys helping individuals navigate their dental concerns with clarity and compassion.

Her commitment to excellence is underscored by her proactive approach to patient service and her ability to foster a supportive environment within the practice. Samantha's passion for dentistry and her role as Office Manager are evident in her dedication to both her team and the patients she serves, making her an invaluable asset to Southwest Dental Group.

Wendy Gray serves as the dental hygienist at Southwest Dental Group, having graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene Science. Her focus in dentistry centers on providing patients with comprehensive homecare education and delivering high-quality, pain-free treatments in an efficient manner. Southwest Dental Group is committed to staying abreast of cutting-edge treatments in oral health through regular participation in continuing education courses. Wendy is pleased to be part of a supportive team that values close collegial relationships among staff and endeavors to cultivate meaningful connections with patients.

Danielle is a dedicated dental assistant who has mastered her craft over the past four years working alongside Dr. Toth. Although she initially pursued a degree in mechanical engineering and astronomy at university, Danielle discovered her passion for patient care and found fulfillment in working closely with her patients. Originally from River Rouge, Michigan, she brings a compassionate approach to her work, always striving to deliver exceptional care and comfort to those under her care. Danielle loves helping each of her patients and combines technical expertise with a genuine commitment to enhancing their oral health and overall well-being.

 Sydney is a dedicated and skilled dental assistant with a passion for patient care and dental health.  In her role, Sydney excels in reassuring anxious patients, leveraging her gentle demeanor and excellent communication skills, working along side Dr.Balla. Her dedication to patient comfort and safety is evident in every aspect of her work, from preparing treatment rooms to providing chairside assistance during procedures.
